OK here are the pic's of my answer to prayer that everyone has been asking about. With living in AZ one of the things I miss the most is WINTER.. real winter from TN and Mo.. I loveee the cold air and just love it.. ANYWAY.. so I prayed and asked Jesus to send me my snow.. now anyone can say what they like but I am not budging that this was for me..lol..
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true whatever things are noble, whatever things are just whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Ok here it is
Celebration with Their Papa Simmons
AND YES that is a leaky ceiling on the right hand side of the photo. Just happend this week with all the rain.. So add that to the list :)
Busy time
I see I am falling behind again..lol lets see. go back to yesterday... I went through old recipes with my grandma all day and got some very old recipes all the way back from my great-great grandmother as well as great grandmother on both sides. ORG ones so I can scrap book them. I am making a book for my mother and sister. There were recipes that my papa had found while he was in the army... so neat to see that kind of history both for sentimental reasons as well as I love to cook. We are making a stacked cake( one of Grandma Lee's recipes) for our family's Christmas day dinner together we are having at my sister's house. My parents, us, and my grandma & step-grandpa will be there plus John's son as well..
We got grandma's family room done . The tree up and shania painted G.G's kitchen windows for her today.. Steve is taking a few days off of work to help grandma finish up some much needed things that she wants done and also the BATHROOM biggest project of all...
We went out to my sisters tonight for Shelby's Christmas program at her school. She did really well it was cute.. Than I took my mother out to dinner with the girls and we had a good time... Had such a good time that we got out of the car acting crazy and I locked the keys in the car....rofl had to get Steve to RESCUE me and get them out..lol SO that is some of what we have been up to this week... Hope everyone is having a blast during the BEST month of the year!!!!

WOW.. Finally someone has the guts to say somthing.
*Thanks to my cousin Angela for sending this to me*
Most of you know who Ben Stein is...you know the "for dry eyes, use clear eyes". that guy...he had his own game show to "win ben stein's money". anyways, he wrote something in an email once & then he went on CBS & read it on the air. I think it's pretty profound myself & it's right on as far as being accurate. Take the time to read it...I don't think you'll regret it.My confession:I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees. It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crèche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Je ssica came from and where the America we knew went to.In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are,but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'ow we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace. Are you laughing?Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in. My Best Regards.
Honestly and respectfuly, Ben Stein

Good Day!
I love the weather these past few days. Rainy and a tad chilly( some call it freezing) obviously they have not lived anywhere else..lol. Today it is CHILLY and rainy and as close as you will get to WINTER wonderland in PHX AZ..lol.. Went to church last night and was a really good message. One I def needed to hear. Isn't it just like the devil to try to discourage and use some of the dumbest things to side track us? We have been going through a valley no doubt but what is so amazing is how GOD has been there through it all every step of the way. I know he is wanting more of us so He can give us more of HIM and I so want that.I left church a bit frustrated last night just because it seems like my mind goes completely blank from the moment I feel God asking me to testify to the moment I stand up and the longer I stand the blanker I get..lol.. Than I sit down feeling just plain o stupid..lol.. Anyway o well I am not perfect and can not testify the way some other people can but I am not doing it for people I am doing it to publicly thank GOD for what he does for me and tell others about it.... Anyway don't know where I was going with that one..lol... So I made a HUGEEEE pot of homemade Vegetable soup and we are painting in the Front Living Room today and Dining Room. Than help grandma put her tree up. Guess that is enough ramblings for today:)
